Christian AND Democrat - Not a Contradiction I am a Democrat because even though I wasn't raised as one, I still have several extended family members that are, and I feel that the Democratic Party's social and ethical stances are closest to what I truly believe, and are actually closer to the mandates/commandments of Christ than that of the Republican Party. That, and I can't stand the new Senator, Rand(y) Paul, in my state.
