I was a landscape contractor for 35 years, and have been teaching high school English for the last 1 1/2 years. Topics that are of most concern to me are human rights, civil rights, and social justice. I love the outdoors, and I'm an active environmentalist. After years of running a business, I have no interest in economics or materialistic persuits. With me, what you see is what you get. I have tuned out the surrounding culture of aquisition, and lead a simple, but active life. Like many, I found Reagan and Bush years depressing. I have been an outsider, feeling that the nation has lost its moral bearing. We seem to have become a superficial people easily distracted by self-indulgent diversions. I hope that will change soon, but nothing comes easy.

Anyway, mor about me. I'm 56, with salt and pepper, longish hair and a beard to match. I'm in pretty good shape, and not bad to look at. I have 2 grown children, a son 27 and a daughter 25. I love animals, and have had pets in the past, but none at the moment. I am an average, healthy male, who would like to meet females with similar passions and interests. I have no specific criteria; I'm just looking for honest, sincere people.
