Very liberal Democrat I have strong political beliefs. I am a politically independent progressive or "liberal" and not afraid to say it, who is fed up up with both the Republican and the Democratic parties. Bernie Sanders and Dennis Kucinich are my heroes. I fear for my country and the direction in which we have been going. I am actively fighting for real health care reform which includes either a single payer or public option. I like to keep up on current events as much as possible.

I am self employed and have a home based business. I am a night person (definitely not an early riser)and summer is my favorite season of the year. I have to be outdoors near water in the summer as much as possible. Love to dance to good rock and roll music. I mostly hibernate during the winter. I am an avid reader who also really enjoys writing sometimes more than conversation. I would have made writing a career if I had not needed to make a real living. I have fun blogging in cyberspace on Facebook and on political blogs. Family is important to me. I have two sons and 4 grandchildren, whom I adore.

My favorite music is folk and Trinity House in Livonia is my preferred venue for attending folk concerts. I also enjoy rock and roll oldies, classic rock, Latin Music, blues, NEW country music, 80's disco and Motown music.

Regardless of age, my partner would need to be young at heart, as am I. My kids call me a "perpetual teenager." Like Peter Pan, I never want to grow up. My closest friends range in age anywhere from 35-70. 4 of my dearest friends are in their early '40's. I would like someone who shares my values and interests and has differences with which I can live.

I am adventuresome and inquisitive and an incurable romantic, loyal, honest and have a large capacity to love. Honesty is very important to me.
