leaningleft I've been a left wing Democrat for a long time and I'm looking for same for discussion, conversation about other things and whatever else happens.
I deplore the Republican attack on America and think that we, as Democrats, must organize and fight back. I have a sense of humor, of irony and of the absurd. I'm interested in many different things and I'm a sports fan - the Chicago Bears and the OU Ducks are my teams.
I love music - Bach to bluegrass - but especially blues. I love the ocean and the mountains - for viewing, photographing and walking. I'm not an athlete but I am physically active. I do Pilates and the gym and I'm in good shape.
I've had jobs that ranged from pastry chef to college administrator with stops at catering and social research, etc. I'm a Midwesterner who lived on the East Coast and now the Pacific Northwest - which i adore. I'm personable, sociable, independent, generous. I'm a physical (champion hugger) person who likes hugs, handholding, etc.with an emphasis on the etc and I'm also pretty adventurous.
I'm looking for fun and friendship. I like going out to listen to blues and although I can - and do - go alone, it would be more fun to go with someone who also likes the music.
I'm smart, grounded, realistic and uninterested in 'drama'. I love to laugh and I think, in times such as these, being able to laugh is essential to maintaining one's equilibrium and sanity.
I want 'casual' rather than 'serious'.
