I love conversation that can go on forever concerning politics, social justice, art, music, lit, science and the humanities. We should absolutely talk about our day. However, if someone brings up the importance of evolutionary psychology and all you offer is a dismissive "that's crazy" so you can pursue a chat about your son's upcoming nuptials, especially the agony of your week's long pursuit for his perfect outfit during the reception's second course don't get upset if your partner looks angry.I am deeply compassionate. I actually love to listen and I will never dismiss you with my highly evolved, unique solution - no matter how cliche and common - because there's no way you have already thought of it. You and I share the exact same experience, and, ya know, I got over it, why can't you?
I am a pretty well educated artist holding an undergraduate and two masters degrees in the arts. I have worked as a professional artist and art educator for years now. I have a bit of an academic and practical and practical background in psychology. I can't remember a time when I wasn't holding some kind of musical instrument.I hope you are willing to touch and offer both love and compassion. I hope you are capable of putting aside personal desires for extravagance in order to better understand and work towards the dignity of the oppressed, marginalized, sick, forgotten and the invisible.
