I am a tad heavyset white male of 50 years of age. I'm divorced. I am a former high school teacher with a masters degree in English and certification in math. I am also a former liberal Protestant minister (part time). I'm in sales now.
I am an extremely ardent liberal democratic with an absolute dedication to liberal issues-- particularly issues pertaining to human rights such as pacifism, humane treatment of Muslims, humane treatment of veterans, humane treatment of criminals and the closing of Guantanamo Bay, humane treatment of the poor, labor unions (I used to be a union member, universal health care, religious tolerance (my Buddhist sounding nickname is meant to suggest my universalist religious attitudes as well as my dedication to Buddhism especially) and zealous support for any cause which advocates for the marginalized and the downtrodden. I not only believe in the causes that I just mentioned, but I consider myself to be an activist for compassion, justice, and tolerance as well.
When it comes to entertainment, I like any intelligent sort of entertainment there is, I love nature and the outdoors, and I also love to laugh and am very very affectionate and gentle. (Lol..I guess that is not entertainment but I am running out of characters!).

I am looking for a lady for dating/romance who wants to take the relationship slowly. Specifically, I am looking for an unmarried (obviously lol) lady from 29-60 who lives within 25 miles of Birmingham, Alabama usa but I am open to longer distances for the right lady. Any race or religion is fine. In fact, one of my sweetest girlfriends ever was a dear black lady. I would call myself slightly heavyset and I am open for a lady of any body type from slim to big beautiful woman. My ideal lady would obviously mirror my profile totally but I am not picky and rigid.
