I am a life long Democrat - fiscal conservative - libertarian on social issues. Work in the private sector (Project Manager in a software company). Serve in public office in my home town (Arlington Mass) and have a lot of interest in public policy. I am more interested in discussing solving problems than political infighting.

Enjoy a lot of outdoor activites - road biking in my free time as well as small out of the way jazz venues and local ethnic restaurants. Travel whenever I can. I am going to Greece for a few weeks in June.

Can't stand shopping malls. Don't like shopping very much. I try to patronize small locally owned stores whenever possible and avoid the national chains. I am not very attracted to consumption or status. I am not a careerist.

Not really a joiner - I do not follow any particular party line. Prefer to research and come to my own conclusions about issues.

I am looking for someone similarly inclined.
